VT heaterbox leak

by dedmannamded@[EMAIL PROTECTED] Mar 4, 2008 at 07:48 PM

gday fellas, i was hoping i could get a bit of tec advice on a vt
heater box leak.

i recently started getting steam/vapour coming from under my dash
and the vents in my dash (scared the living **** outa me when i first
saw it). and pretty much have concluded the heater box is leaking, im
loosing water etc etc. i thought cool ill just rip the dash apart and
try and change the box myself and so far its a bloody nightmare.
im not planing on selling the car anytime soon so i want to just
bypass the heater box all together (if thats possible these days as
that what i did with my old datsun). if its possible where is the best
and easiest place to do it, from what ive seen the 2 hoses going into
the firewall look the most accessable, so could i just join those 2
hoses together till i get some cash to get it done properly?

   any help is appreciated

    cheers deddy
