  True, however, I was under the impression many/most/all? lead/acid
batteries 
are ****pped dry, and supplied with sulphuric acid mix on sale.  This will 
greatly increase their shelf life before being sold.

  Probably says something about the quality of the batteries the car 
manufacturer is willing to put in. :-)
