Good advice - Steam coming out of the vents tells me the drain pipe/s
are blocked. It's not a hugely fun job unblocking them (hope you've got
skinny arms).
I went through exactly this about 3 months ago - and it occurred just a
fortnight *after* I'd replaced the heater box in my VN (_****_ of a
job). The core itself had been leaking for about 6 months, but never
caused steam to come out of the vents, just damp carpet under the
driver's feet.
Cheers,
Andy.
