Think it is law in Qld as is in a couple of other states
but it makes sense to me, seeing that you are supposed to give way to ALL
vehicles on 
a roundabout, whether they be on your right or left as to your perception,
but 
technically, they are always on your right, so if you see someone coming
from your 
right with the left indicator on, it is almost certain they are going to
turn left 
before they get to you, so you can proceed with caution.
I say with caution because there are not always people out there driving
who are 
actually intelligent and if they happen to go straight ahead and hit you,
you are in 
the wrong
