You've just outlined why I have no time for Aussie built vehicles.
They're not always cheaper either.
Given Noddy's claim about a 30% power loss (that amazes me) and your
comment about the lousy fuel consumption - would it not be better to buy
a standard Falcon and go for an aftermarket gas system? Would it much
dearer than the egas falcon??
