Wading through that thread . One wonders why few have hit on the
fatigue factor ( Dramamine references excepted)
Given that the Govt agencies said to be entrusted with our safety
( subordinate to our own skills and situational awareness and self
discipline of course ) Have neglected things such as Road
works,oversight and courts throttled by lack of decent acts and
sentencing provisions (in some states).
What is the collective brains trust on here thoughts about how best
to reduce such incidents touched on by that other thread ?

Fatigue . As a PT Ambo // not nice to go and have to look after a
mate (mainly because he is pu****ng the envelope to keep the payments
up to the Finance germs in rising interest rate and fuel times) &
Comes undone less than 20 miles from home

Other factors not touched upon by that thread apart from references
to truckies beaning up is the increased use of drugs by non truckie
drivers . Although there are more little wheels than big wheels on the
road . The non truckie drivers really are in many ways clueless and
worse . I think we have all seen them :)
