No :)

A number of reasons.
Firstly, while I am retired, I've only been so for 3 or 4 years now (I
can't
remember exactly how long) and it's not like I haven't seen the things
before. Secondly, even though I know longer work on cars for a living, I
still work on cars most days of the week (when I'm trying not to do stupid
**** like renovate my house), so I "keep in touch" so to speak. Thirdly,
and
probably most im****tantly in my case, I have a couple of friends I went to
school with who also became mechanics who now both work in different Ford
dealer****ps, and I talk to them occasionally about problems they
experience.
Lastly, I'm still a member of the trade organisations that I was
associated
with when I ran my business, such as the VACC for example, and still get
"inside information" through their trade journals.

this?).
You only get to know about it if you're familiar with the things or go out
looking for the information about them.
Being a machanic does not qualify you as an expert on every single car
ever
made.
