You missed probably the most significant difference - coil suspension and
self levelling at the rear. It was pushed out the door (1970) after the
Leyland merger (1967) much faster than the designers wanted (hence the
bits
from BMC and other shortcomings), but despite this sold faster than it
could be made for the next decade or two.
