I can't see why you'd be better off simply 'without a trade'; when
trading in a car all they do is make a few calls to their wholesale
contacts, spend 20secs describing it and getting a price. In fact,
once the trade has been done the dealer can usually squeeze a bit more
out of the wholesalers, adding to the profit. But as I've previously
mentioned, sell the trade yourself and you will get more for it, just
not necessarily a better deal on the replacement.
