I once saw a guy rapidly putting away schooners of Toohey's Old with what
looked like doubles of whiskey, as chasers. He was still standing an hour
later,..but had stopped talking :-)  Tough luck having the stack,..how was
the old lady?  My dad actually volunteered stopping driving when he was
82.
The RTA (this was about 12 years ago) was willing to pass him to drive.
His
problem was the speed and volume of Sydney traffic. It had got too much
for
him.
