Missing piece of thermostat

by "Stevo" <stevekelepouris@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Apr 7, 2008 at 12:10 PM

Had probs with my heater being cold on my VH Commodore (temp gauge shows
low
most of the time) so I thought I would check the thermostat.

Removed the housing to find it in pieces!

Felt around with my fingers and managed to retrieve all the bits except
for
a small piece (or two) that would have come from the bottom of it where it

had broken apart. (2 bits 5 x 15mm perhaps)

Just wondering where the missing piece/s would have ended up - where
should
I look?

BTW After installing the new thermostat the temp gauge is slightly up and
the heater is a tad warmer.

steve.
