Thanks for the info Jason,
Yeah my mechanic told me today that it was the clutch packs.
Still doesn't make sense because I was able to get a lot better out of it
by
adjusting the modulator.
I'll take your advice on taking my foot off the throttle on the change.
At the moment i've just been slipping it up to 3rd - changes nice and
smooth
though.
It'd be good to know how long the trans might last - how long have you had
your problem for?
I bought the car for $650 about a couple of weeks ago (knowing about the
trans problem)
The Rego is coming up in about 3 weeks and there's a lot of **** I have to
do for a Roadworthy.
If the trans isn't going to last me a year, it's probably not worth fixing
the rest up either.
Shame, cause I do like the car.
