Sublet is usually when something is farmed out to a third party for work.
In
your case, I imagine they sent the heads off to have the valve seats
re-cut
to suit the new valves and possibly the head gasket faces cleaned up
(hopefully).

That's *****ing* expensive. For that kind of money I would have supplied
you
with a brand new engine and given you enough change to fill the tank for a
few weeks.
Incidentally, either they can't add and owe you 303 bucks in change, or
you've not quoted the right prices.

Whatever you do, *don't* get them to do any repair work unless they're
doing
it for free. Otherwise they're likely to change your trans fluid and
charge
you 7 grand to do it.
