Fair enough.

Good luck with that.
I've gotta tell you that you're a braver man than me spending almost 3 and
a
half grand on engine repairs on a car that might fetch 4 grand tops to
sell
privately.

Be wary of "4 cylinder" engines being economical.
If you're down sizing just to reduce your running costs then do your
homework as having two less cylinders doesn't automatically mean the car
will be any cheaper to run. Some get as bad or worse mileage than 6
cylinder
powered cars.
For what it's worth, if your Magna is in good nick (and at least the
engine
should be :) then I'd consider keeping it and whacking it on lpg.
Considering that you just spent a ****load of money on it and that you'll
walk away from the thing with almost nothing after the sale, if you shop
around for a conversion you'll just about get it for free with the lpg
rebate.
Best of both worlds. You'll get to enjoy some of that new engine you just
paid for and have running costs cheaper than any four cylinder.
