LPG engine oil

Hi,

Is it OK to run a car on petrol with LPG engine oil?

Car is VP Commy, engine done 265K on LPG and the oil I have at the moment 
is Penrite for LPG.

Unfortunately I have to change LPG tank and this may take a few weeks so
in 
the mean time - petrol only :-((

How safe is it to run on LPG oil in the long run - like 6 months eg.
