Hi all,
Recently had to buy some new rubber for my RenaultS****t Megane 225.
I didn't fancy the idea of shelling out $350 per corner for the Dunlop
S****t Maxx tyres it came with, nor did the MUCH HIGHER price of
similar tyres from Michelin, Bridgestone, Pirelli, or Continental
thrill me.
I discovered some Italian tyres called Marangoni Mythos for around
$270 each, from the place that had the best Dunlop price in town. Then
I rang The Tyre Factory in Dandenong and was very pleasantly surprised
at their price of $220 each, fitted, balanced, etc, etc.
After driving about $1k on them, I'd say they grip 95% as well as the
Dunlops and are quieter too. So even if they only last 20k kms, which
is 2/3 the distance I got out of the Dunlops, I will be very happy.
