There was a letter in the SMH today saying exactly the same
thing.........why can't the small vendors watch this so-called website
and when the larger one's say they're going to drop their price the
following day, the smaller ones can prepare. FFS this would actually
make it easier for them to monitor their competitors!
Anyway, I agree the system is a total kneejerk and will make FA
difference to anything, just not for the above reason.
BTW in Sydney it's very easy to predict fuel prices - cheapest on
Wednesday morning, most expensive on Wednesday nights, and slowly
drops again on it's usual weekly cycle. It ****s me that every
wednesday there's a news story about how "petrol prices jumped X cents
per litre today" like it's some big ****ing shock!
