Remember the kit well, the kit was stupidly designed so that it read
EPROMS at the same speed that it wrote them. I remember being intensely
proud of figuring out the trivial hardware changes and one or two lines
of code change to allow it to read an EPROM quickly.

I no longer have that EPROM burner, but I do still have a much, much
later one designed to operate with MSDOS and plug into the serial ****t
of a PC. I had what will probably be the last big chuck out of old
computer crap a few weeks ago when I got home after a year away, I
picked the burner up, remembered how much I paid for the blasted thing
once upon a time when I needed such things and put it back int he
filing cabinet - God know why. The last EPROMS I burned were about 2001
to update the PROMS on an EISA SCSI Raid controller. Funny thing -
shovong it back in the filing cabinet drawer I smashed the UV tube I
used to erase EPROMS with.
