Presumably you're talking about metro servos? Out in the sticks it doesn't
matter whether the servo has two pumps or twenty. They all charge the same
- up to fifteen cents a litre more than their city counterparts.
People are whinging about the price watch thing. Well, if they think that
this will mean the end of the high/low cycles then welcome to the world of
rural price fixing where the prices invariably stay static at elevated
levels. They only tend to ****ft in reaction to world oil prices.
And yeah, we're already paying $1.50 a litre. Have done so for some time
now, and I live less than two hours from Melbourne, connected by a 4 lane
freeway, where travel times aren't an issue compared to those who have to
negotiate smaller single lane rural highways.
