opinion only:
Sometimes if the clutch is not fully disengaged, it can produce that
symptom,..but what's missing is the grating gears which accompany such a
problem. Sometimes if moving from 2nd to 1st, the gearstick can be hard to
move the last bit of travel, where in reality, the 1st gear synchros are
just having trouble matching the shaft speeds. But if it does it during
1st
to 2nd without crunching, IMHO its pointing to a selector problem. Check
the
box is full of oil as mentioned.
See if it does it engine off. Dont force the stick, just waggle it in and
out of the gears then try a 1-2 and 2-1 change. If it is happening
still,..unfortunately it maybe selectors,..hope not!
