Dan, rarely do you go wrong with any year of Hilux. It depends on what you
want to do with it. If
you are after a tough offroader make sure you buy one the the last
japanese built units with a solid
front end, if its to pull the tinnie off the beach then any 4wd Hilux
should do, including the
Surfs, and 4runners (Which in my opinion are a better all round vehicle as
long as you dont carry
over 400Kgs in the back of them on a regular basis.
You should be getting a decent 4runner/Surf for $8k but for some reason
4wd Hilux utes hold there
value a tad more so dont expect a flash one for $8k.
