I have been approached by an elderly woman who is a friend of a friend type
of thing.
Her husband recently passed away and she has offered me his car as the
several times I saw the vehicle I remarked how amazed I was by its
condition.
It is an XF Fairmont Ghia 1987 and has only done around 50,000 klms. The
car
is like new, Im talking showroom condition and simply cannot be faulted.
It
is 100% stock and has never been modified, the back seats never sat in.
Its
a country car and has only done short trips each weekend, garaged and then
put under a car cover and cleaned each week.
If it was older and more collectable it would be worth a fortune in this
condition, but I doubt if XF's are collectable at this stage.
She has asked me to put a price on it, pretty much whatever I offer will
do
but I want to do the right thing by her.
Its pretty hard to price , I was thinking $5000 to $6000 would be fair,
any
suggestions?
Cheers
Doug
