Somewhat timely given a couple of recent threads:
http://www.smh.com.au/news/national/car-vandals-jealous/2008/04/29/1209234827930.html
----------------------------------------------------------
"Almost 90 cars are vandalised in NSW each week, with damage running
to $16 million a year, new research shows.
.... Snip ...
"The maliciousness of it suggests there is a degree of jealousy about
it. It's not uncommon to see an expensive Mercedes Benz or Porsche
with a big key scratch down the length of it or for people just to
walk over the bonnet, often from large groups of alcohol-fuelled
teenagers."
Mr McDonald said most instances of car vandalism happened in inner
Sydney locations such as Darling Harbour, near the Sydney Cricket
Ground and other football stadiums and nightclub scenes.
"It sometimes happens in the west but it's more common in the city
areas," he said.
.... Snip ...
"I have seen a case where a Jaguar convertible was parked in King
Street on the exit from Darling Harbour on New Year's Eve.
"Someone had urinated in it, I saw the aftermath, and there was
rubbish in it. That was just asking for it." "

Possibly. It'd be nice to believe that we live in a better world than
that, but there are more than enough 2 legged cockroaches to go
around.
