As long as you don't turn the fuel up too far.

The idea is to turn it up just enough to correct for the increased air
volume so that at full load, you *don't quite* blow black smoke... Go
too far and that cloud of smoke is wasted fuel that doesn't translate
to power/torque.

I can relate to that. I actually did some work on the bus today for the
first time in several months. Is has a broken window (stone thrown by
mower most likely) and I swept up most of the pieces inside the bus and
taped a piece of plastic over the hole to keep the rain out...
Of course the real reason for cleaning up in the bus is because one of
the beds in the house has to be dismantled to make way for renovation
work, and will be stored in the bus until enough of the fitout is done
so that it can be installed into the bus...
I expect to get a lot of renovation work done on the house before I get
much more done on the bus. :-(
Then there's the Volvo...
