i have H engine in an fj40, and yeah, half smart covers
it..seems that pump design would rule out other than vacuum operation.
mine has sluggish "throttle" response. as it has no EDIC gear
installed, it has a manual overfuel device for cold start, and pulling
this out a bit while driving gets it trundling along a bit quicker. so,
think i should open the pump up a bit...the manual overfuel is also good
for deterring tail-gaters, all the way out and instant black cloud :^)
BTW looking for H engine repair and maintainance manual....been a
couple on Ebay lately, but missed `em both :^(...any leads would be
appreciated, cheers.
