A few of the "minor" non-points offences such as fog light abuse were
in the order of $85 last time I checked. I'm sure that there are some
really trivial ones such as "inefficient silencer" (ie loud exhaust but
car is too old for "need engineering certificate for modified exhaust"
defect notice) that are probably still about that.

I expect so.
Penalties in NSW are all in "penalty units". The $ value of a penalty
unit
is defined in one spot, so all penalties can be "indexed" in one go...
