and deliberate red-light running in a 20+ tonne vehicle is 
so many orders of magnitude more dangerous than it is on a 
bike or in a car, that it could almost be considered 
attempted murder and should be punished accordingly.

I believe this type of red-light running should result in 
life-long loss of licence - if you aren't capable of driving 
a truck responsibly enough to stop at a red light, then you 
don't deserve to drive it - ever. Time to retrain in a new 
career.

Thankfully Kev, it sounds like you are a responsible 
truckie, it's a shame your type gets a bad name because of 
the very noticeable actions of the few dickheads.
