I think the point was mud can be encountered on public roads. I've
seen it 10 inches deep on my road. I run these <http://
www.coopertyres.com.au/tyres/stt_new.htm> on my Hilux and Jackaroo all
year round.

Yeah, I used to run the older STTs and they were prety good on dry roads
although very noisey.

The newer ones that you have are way better tyres in everywhere except
clay.
