Interesting question. I'd think the paper towel, however that
is a production cost in producing, maintaining supplies of,
and disposal (or recycling of). Those actions will likely
produce more environmental damage than the 'lectic dryer
in the grand scheme of things.
Which is better for your skin - I don't think it is a real issue,
every day you have to work with all sorts of ****e. My body
looks 23, my hands look closer to 70 however have used
them for work with chemicals sanding, wa****ng all the
rest of it.

You did not consider the other option of cloth towel which you
pull down and it wraps back up.
