I have two methods.

1) If there is no oncoming traffic (or another lane that's free),
cross over and hit the brakes. Even though you're doing the tailgater
a favour, for some reason they often get the ****s that you've done
this. Might have something to do with you underlining the fact that
they're a complete twat by taking such evasive action.

2) If there is oncoming traffic and no spare lane, take your foot off
the go pedal, get as far left as you can and just let it coast. In
rural situations a left indicator also helps. You will eventually
reach a speed that the ****wit deems slow enough to go around you in
what would otherwise be a no-go situation.
