I did my own version of it - when I was in my mid teens (before my love
affair with powerlifting) I used to cycle a bit, and I'd get behind a
car and use it's slipstream to keep up to and possibly over 60 for a
reasonable duration. I got carried away one time, and forgot that the
car in front would have to stop or turn sooner or later, and ended up on
the boot of a hj sedan. 

Near pascoe vale station there's a big hill on gaffney street. I'm
pretty sure I've topped 90 coming down that. I've also topped and tailed
it when someone got out of a parked car. That experience alone left me
in no doubt as to the wisdom of wearing the thickest toughest leather
gear I could find when I ventured onto the road on a 2 wheeled crotch
rocket.
