Maybe not so sneaky. I was riding in a group when one rider and 
pillion behind slid off into a caryard unexpectedly not going all that 
quick. Experienced rider but the front tyre was old. Brand new tyres are 
dirt cheap per kilometer if you take into account other running costs.
