"New" tyres are generally fine in storage as rubber doesn't do much until 
it's exposed to the elements. I couldn't give a rats how old the "new"
tyres 
I buy. As long as they've been stored correctly I wouldn't have the 
slightest problem with them.

my 
old Willys Jeep when I had it, and they were 54 years old when I put them
on 
the vehicle.

Good as new too :)
