Disconnecting a battery is a common situation. Every mechanic and I hope
backyarder, does this before doing any work. Any problems re-connecting
would have  to be in the owners handbook, as its so common an event.
Caution
here. Dont try to recharge with another vehicle with starter cables as
damage can occur to the alternators involved if the dead battery is not
disconnected It seems to be a function of the doner alternator rising in
output voltage above the other alternator (in flat-battery car). Charging
current then back-feeds thru the power diodes, sometimes causing damage in
the flatbattery. Exciter/regulator can also stuff-up.

I'd simply disconnect the Wrex's battery, and either leave it for a
recharge
from another vehicle (battery disonnected from Wrex), or as recommened,
remove battery and leave it with a trickle charger on it.
