Oil is a very small part of overall running cost. It would cost him about
15 to 20 cents per kilometer for fuel alone and a couple of cents more
for tyres. Oil at about $50 lasting 5000 km is 1 cent per kilometer. If
the dawggie is happy with the oil in all respects then why not pay a bit
more, after all it's his engine. All he would save is bugger all per
kilometer, a few poofteenths of a cent.
