Isn't that fantastic - effectively you've paid extra for the privelege
of them ****rking their responsibility

Generally speaking (though i'll stand corrected if wrong) you can get
the warranty work done practically anywhere, it's a something of a scam
that some buyers are pressured otherwise. Clockie (who posts as
klompmeester for now) would absolutely know the deal as he is involved
in such a workshop, and if he is saying take it to another dealer****p,
taken it to the bank.

Their refusal to plug it in (as such) is puzzling to say the least. In
general dealer****p/workshops are reluctant to do any warranty work, and
some will go to some lengths to avoid it. The deal is that any workshop
could do it, but the factory will only pay a pittance of a rate/allotted
time for the repair work, so most independant workshops don't want a bar
of it, and dealer****ps are then stuck with it. So they'll do what they
can to avoid it.

On the other hand, finding a workshop willing to do the right thing by
you - well thats the sort of place to remember and give serious thought
to getting other servicing/repairs (as applicable) done by them too.
