Fitting a VT airbag to a VS ?

by "Casper" <casper@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > May 16, 2008 at 12:11 PM

The question is not whether it fits - I know it will, I've done it. The
horn works fine too.

The question is whether the airbag will work properly ? Also, the steering

wheel audio controls no longer work - I have not investigated that yet.

I swapped them over because my old one has a heavily worn area on the
"thumb
rest" and I find the horn to difficult to locate in awkward situations (ie

when it's needed most) and the VT horn switch is much easier.

I figured that if it fit - and the airbag plug fit, and the airbag warning

light didn't come on, I'm all good. Then I got to wondering whether it
would be safe/legal/ill advised ?

Thoughts?
