: Aye, its too heavy. I've seen a friction driven front-wheel years ago.
It

It is a real shame the "Go Bikes" are not as common as they once were. I
had
one for a while. It was a little dangerous being unstable at speed and all
the rest, it was great fun.
BMX with a mower engine mounted in the frame, did over 60 when wound out
fully. The front pushbike cog was mounted where the rear one should be and
the rear one on the motor. No pedals at all and there were foot pegs
mounted on the rear axle. You pushed it along with the back wheel dragging
then jumped onto the footpegs to start it. Used it a bit on the beach near
Zilzie and Farnborough, it wasn't anything but a bit of fun and as I
recall
never on the road. pick it up and put it in the boot of the 120Y. Fun to
make, a real hoot to ride and we didn't even lose a toe, I could see it
would have been easy to have lost a finger or toe in a stack. No brake or
clutch and no chain guard, exhaust going onto the leg if you sat wrong, oh
and that lovely vented flywheel near your knee just waiting to bite you.
Petrol tank on the handle bars. I think I'll try and make one here one
day
just to see if I still have the knack.
The 120Y with 205/60X13 tyres wasn't too bad on the beach either, at least
on the hard sand.
