My Mio displays the current road's speed limit. And when I enter or leave
a
different speed zone the symbol would update, probably between 50-100m
past the
speed limit sign. So, if the accuracy is anything like the Mio it could
open a
can of worms in that respect.
 
ie. the GPS sees that you're doing 80km/h when you accelerated but it
still sees
you as being in a 60km/h zone. For Victorians at least, that's a
significant
fine and loss of points.

Then there's the issue of variable limits, say, school zones in certain
times.
