SUCCESS!!!!!
after untold hours fiddling and tinkering with this piece of crap i
struck gold. just to amuse myself i thought i would look for fusible
links off the battery, and there they were, i can't believe i didn't
think of it earlier! and sure enough one was blown. replaced it,
turned the engine over and away she went. the wierd thing is that i
had power and pulse to the injectors and full ignition, and well
everything, as i wrote above. it must be something to do with the
injector timing. i was also right in thinking the second hand injector
was no good. car has a complete miss on one cyl. so i started removing
injector plugs and sure enough the new-old injector seems to be either
throwing in no fuel or too much fuel because that cyl. isn't firing at
all. that is what i get for shopping at a wrecker :D. anyway thanks
for all your help guys, and i hope this little nightmaire of mine will
help someone else solve their car troubles in the future. cheers
