'97 Ford Explorer XLT - 5.0 V8 - New Tires - Very Cold AC w/Rear vents - $4950

by ckeeran@[EMAIL PROTECTED] Aug 22, 2006 at 08:48 PM

Hello all,

I am selling my '97 Ford Explorer and my 98 Honda Accord to combine the
money and buy a different SUV.

This Explorer has been in the family since 2001. We purchased it from
First Texas Honda as the second personal owner and have never had to
replace anything major on it. It's always been the usual breaks,
battery, tires...ect.

You can view the carfax report here:
http://www.carfax.com/phoenix/external/viewEmailReport.do?a=0qhX4hD18dcQbTI2LUlNRiqTCxeXyUWbXXmC2ZztXzlOBox%2FuRsiB9bDgDaCTSi3

I had the tires replaced at NTB about 4-6 months ago ($950). They still
have a lot of warranty left including tire hazard. The breaks were
replaced about 10 months ago and still have quite a lot of pad left.
This is an all disc vehicle which gives you higher performance than
drums.

The AC blows VERY cold and since this is an XLT model it has rear AC.
We have NEVER recharged the coolant because it never needed it.

The options are:
- Tinted windows
- XLT model
- Rear AC
- AM/FM Radio with cassette and 6 disk CD Changer in center console -
Stereo controls CD functions (NOT FM Modulator)
- Alluminum Rims
- Interior is in perfect condition
- Exterior has minor paint scratches but no rust or fading
- Roof Rack
- Towing ball on bumper - Have pulled trailers with no problems
- No leaks at all - Engine has never leaked oil
- Currently mileage is at 140256
- V8 5.0 Engine has all the power you could possibly want. This is the
same engine used in the GT mustangs. I use Mobile 1 Synthetic and
recently replaced the plugs and wires with high performance
replacements. The plugs are Platinum Splitfires.

The registration sticker and inspection are good until April and June
of next year. When the inspection needed to be done it required a
replacement of the EGR valve and an intake cleaning. It passed all
emissions tests and should be good for quite some time.

I will be posting again with pictures once I can get it detailed again.

Feel free to contact me with any questions...Thanks
