Gave my 98 SOHC V6 to my son, now has over 225,000 miles, with original 
water pump and alternator. Did I say for 5 years I pulled a bass boat 
all over Kansas and Missouri. Changed oil every 3000 to 4000 miles with 
Mobil 1, 10W30, and changed transmission fluid every year. Used a drill 
pump to get it out and replace it with Mercon 1V. Removed the cats and 
ran a Dyno Max exhaust system with MIL eliminators from a Mustang GT. My 
friends with Toyotas only wish they could do the same. At over 225K on 
the clock it does not leak or use oil, and yes I wish my son would trade 
it for something newer but he loves it because it still runs like new. 
Also from day one it has had a K&N air filter and EGR blocked off. Treat 
any thing you drive with respect and it should last a long time.
