Re: Jim Warman, Cruise Control

by "Jim Warman" <mechanic@[EMAIL PROTECTED] > Feb 23, 2008 at 03:12 AM

Al.... 05S28 has been through numerous revisions... the latest revision
05S28-S11, was released early this year. Another field service action is
to
replace inappropriate harnesses previously installed.... this one is
08S01.

This is where it gets confusing. 05S28 S11 states that your car should get

labour op 05S28MM - this is an interim repair (disconnect the switch and
tape up the connector). Yet 08S01 doesn't list your car as getting an
inappropriate harness earlier....

The possibility exists that your car was given 05S28 without elligibility
being checked (did you receive a notice from Ford before the recall was
performed?). You can PM me your VIN and I can run OASIS in an effort to
see
what is going on.

Disclaimer.. this is NOT an open invitation to contact me directly. I'm
sorry, I am much too busy... uninvited PMs are usually discarded without
consideration.
