I am loosing a lot of power steering fluid. It appears to be coming from
the drivers side of the rack and pinon. When I purchased the vehicle 4
years ago, (98 Mountiner, AWD) the dealer sent the vehicle to a
independent
mechanic and he replaced the rack and pinon with a rebuilt unit, that was
35, 000 miles ago. I now have 110,000 miles and plan on keeping the
vehicle
for a long time. I recently purchased a Ford Motor Company, Truck service
information CD, version 21.0. Ford customer service division
FCS-12551-98T21. I am unable to locate anything about the rack & pinion
on
the CD, perhaps I failed to get the correct CD.
Would someone please direct me to a site or link about the
removal/replacment of the Rack & Pinon.
