I've been watching them too. You can actually still buy a brand new 06
GTO! I've located several, one of which is about 100 miles from me.
I expect prices to further drop. There's a guy at ls2gto.com that will
run the GMVIS on a VIN for you and you can find out the history of the
car.
Also, if you get one still within the factory 3/36 warranty, through
gmoutlet.com you can purchase a factory extended plan for VERY cheap
in comparison to what the dealer will want to charge you. AND, it's a
Pontiac plan (GMPP Major Guard, I think).
Unfortunately, the prices are still high in the NW.
