make up a list of things to check and check them twice or three times.
firing order, check the wire are right, check the plugs etc
is the fuel regulator adjustable? what is the preset and can you get to
it?
recheck the wiring,
check timing marks etc
not sure what the air idle control spacer is, a thicker gasket? if so
should 
not do anything
reset computer by taking off battery,


Best of luck- these cars are darn near bulletproof.

I put a KB blower on mine (replaces top manifold on a 93 5.0) and  when I 
first started it up it made, made one hell of a big nasty noise, had that
oh 
**** feeling bigtime, had no idea how to set the FMU, I had hosed down the

radiator from the outside and it was loaded up with water, and blew all
that 
back, and I had left a wrench on the engine, BUT it smoothed out and ran 
fine.
