Hi group,
1998 Honda Accord, Ex, 6Cyl, 4 door.
The alternator failed, (Battery, brake, doors & trunk light), and I
replaced it. The new alternator seems to work fine for about 10 minutes,
and
then starts cycling on and off. The lights come on, (Battery, brake,
doors
& trunk light), for 2 seconds, and then off for 10. On for 2, off for ten,
a
couple of times, then back to normal.
This appears to happen about the time the battery gets "topped off".
My
normal drive to work is only about 12 minutes, so I can't tell you what it
does after an hour of driving.
Has anyone seen this before? Any clue what is going on? Do I need to
replace this alternator as well?
