Although I have a unit mounted in my Wrangler, in my opinion, the
handheld is the way to go. No mounting hassles. No external antennas
on your jeep. The handheld allows you the freedom to communicate to
your fellow jeepers not only from the confines of your vehicle, but
away from it as well. Most have the same wattage as there mobil
breteren and perform just as well. Also you need not tune the antenna,
as need be in most mobile CB aplications. Again my .02 worth.
