DAMN, the dreaded oil thread rears it's head again!

A waste of money in my opinion.  The advantages that any synthetic has 
is mostly hypothetical not "real world" and the mistaken idea that 
synthetics can go longer between changes has been dispelled by the 
synthetic oil companies among others.

WFIW, most tests I've seen rate Mobil 1 as the best or one of the best 
synthetics, it's also one of the least expensive and one of the most 
readily available so why spend more?
