I dont think you're cynical, I was sceptical at best when I was told the
filter was also 1 year. Its scary to mess with something you know works
and thousands of Miata owners cant be wrong, can they? ;)

I like the mobile 1 recommendation, it seems that regarding resale more
people might be familiar with that, after all, I had never even heard of
Amsoil until last week!
